Your letter doesn't arrive with a countdown timer. That's intentional.
I think part of the joy of receiving a physical letter is not knowing exactly when it will turn up.
When do I send letters?
I generally prepare and send letters around the 18th–20th of every month. All letters scheduled for that month's mailing are sent around the same time.
How long does delivery take?
- For hoomans in India, delivery usually takes around 2–7 days after mailing.
- For hoomans in other countries, delivery usually takes around 5–14 days after mailing.
These are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates. Actual delivery times can vary depending on the destination, postal network, customs processes where applicable and other circumstances outside my control.
Where do I ship?
I ship to India and other countries around the world, using established postal networks serving the destination.
Is shipping included?
Yes. The displayed price includes the applicable delivery cost. There shouldn't be a mysterious little shipping number appearing at checkout.
Is there tracking?
No. I intentionally do not provide individual tracking for the letters.
A little letter arriving unexpectedly is rather different from watching a tiny dot move across a map for six days.
My letter hasn't arrived. What should I do?
If your letter hasn't arrived within 15 days of the monthly mailing, email me at purrnextdoor@gmail.com. I'll send you a fresh letter from that month's mailing.
I need to change my address.
Please email me by the 17th of the month if you need your address changed for that month's mailing.
If you contact me after the 17th, I'll generally apply the new address from the following month's mailing. If I'm still able to make the change for the current month, I'll do my best to accommodate it, but I can't guarantee it. I'll let you know what I'm able to do.
A letter arrived damaged.
I'm sorry. Please email purrnextdoor@gmail.com with the details and, where possible, photographs of the damaged package or letter. I'll look into it and arrange an appropriate resolution, including a refund where applicable.
The blue cat likes his letters to arrive looking like letters, rather than something that has survived a small war.
