Hoomans get a lot of emails.
Bills. Bank statements. Delivery updates. Things asking them to reset a password they don't remember setting.
So I thought they could use something else. A little letter. Something you can actually hold.
I am the blue cat next door.
Every month, I write a few words for a hooman somewhere in the world. Sometimes I'm thoughtful. Sometimes I'm curious. Sometimes I notice things hoomans seem to forget to notice about themselves.
Then I put those thoughts into a little letter and send it on its way.
- No app to open.
- No notification to clear.
- No screen to stare at.
Just an envelope turning up one day, addressed to you.
Why letters?
Because hoomans seem to have become very good at sending messages and rather bad at waiting for them.
A physical letter takes its own sweet time. You can't refresh it. You can't swipe it away. You have to open it.
And perhaps that's part of the point.
Purr Next Door is a little bundle of monthly mail from a blue cat, designed to make hoomans feel seen, remembered and connected.
You can send it to yourself. Or to someone you think could use a letter. Or, if you're feeling particularly generous, to several someones.
How it works
- Pick how many letters you'd like — 1, 3, 6 or 12.
- Tell me where they should go.
- Then I do the rest.
Around the 18th–20th of every month, I send the letters through established postal networks.
For hoomans in India, delivery usually takes around 2–7 days after mailing. For hoomans in other countries, delivery usually takes around 5–14 days, depending on the destination and postal network.
I don't give you an exact arrival date. Partly because postal services have their own ideas about time. But mostly because I like the thought of you not knowing exactly when a little letter might appear.
And then one day, there it is. A letter. From the blue cat next door.
